Clifford F. Creasy

Clifford F. Creasy age 97 of Collinsville, IL passed away peacefully at his home on March 23, 2012.  He was born in Hardin County Tennessee on August 7, 1914.

He was retired from Granite City Steel Company in 1976 where he worked as a mechanic. After retirement from Granite City Steel, he worked briefly for Arnold Cohn Reality. Clifford was very active until last year, enjoying mowing and taking pride in his lawn.

He was preceded in death by his parents Caleb “Newt” and Florence nee Marshall Creasy. His wife of over 70 years Inez nee Singleton Creasy, a daughter, Barbara Gail Creasy; son-in-law Kenny Hall,  Sister Leatha “Leat” Brown, brother Arlee “ Red” Creasy.

He is survived by a daughter, Mary Jo Hall (Warren Settles) of Savannah, GA, a son Michael (June) Creasy of Collinsville, IL, Four Grandchildren , Gregory Hall of New York City, Susan Hall of Port Wentworth, GA, Steve (Randa) Hall  of Birmingham, AL, Barb (Robert) Anderson of Cleveland TN, and six great grand children, Peyton and Ian Hall, Riley, Emily, Jack, and Sam Anderson, a special cousin and frequent visitor Betty Cohn from Belleville, IL. He also leaves three special ladies that were always by his side providing excellent care, Doxie, Linda and Kathy. The Creasy family wishes to acknowledge them as extended family.

 

At Clifford’s request there will be no visitation and a private burial will be held at Lake View Memorial Gardens in Fairview Heights, IL.

In lieu of flowers or monetary donations the family asks that you simply think of a fond memory with Clifford and remember him with a smile!
