William "Bill" Henry Earlin
William “Bill” Henry Earlin, age 68 of Maryville, IL, born January 7, 1950 in East St. Louis, IL, passed away on Monday, January 29, 2018 at John Cochran VA Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
Bill was a retired security guard for the Casino Queen. He managed the former Schiber Shell in Collinsville for many years and drove for Vandalia Bus Lines. Bill was an Army Veteran, member of the Collinsville VFW Post 5691, and St. John Lutheran Church in Maryville. He loved his family, especially being a grandpa, camping at Cool Creek Resort, cooking, woodworking, and watching bald Eagles.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Earlin; and a grandson, Connor Moore.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara “Barb” nee Schiber Earlin, whom he married April 28, 1979; three daughters: Dawn (Fred) Campbell of Maryville, IL, Jennifer (Jerry) Hearn of Maryville, IL and Suzie (Mike) Moore of Collinsville, IL; eight grandchildren: Michael (Jessica Fowler), Matthew, Lukas, Ben, Kaden, David, Nolen and Rylan; two sisters: Anna Haney of Waynesville, MO and Cathy Hunter of Dixon, MO; his mother, Emma nee LaFerire Bartlett of Dixon, MO; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 4pm to 8pm on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Barry Wilson Funeral Home, Maryville, IL.
Funeral service will be 11am on Friday, February 2, 2018 at the funeral home with Rev. Gregg Pavelski officiating. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery, Collinsville, IL with military honors.
Memorials may be made to St. John Lutheran Church and will be accepted at the funeral home.
