Nancy L. Wiggs
Nancy Lee Duckworth Wiggs, age 81 of Maryville, IL, born September 1, 1936 in Moline, IL, passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, IL.
Nancy was a 1954 Granite City High School graduate. She retired after 20 years of service as a secretary for Prairie Farms Dairy in Granite City, IL. She was a member of Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Maryville, IL. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Mildred nee Farris Bond; and her first husband, Harold “Duck” Duckworth, Jr.
She is survived by her husband, Guy Wiggs, whom she married November 27, 1993; three daughters: Kimberly Winkler of Maryville, IL; Debra Kay (Rod) Schmidt of Maryville, IL, and Cathleen (Brian) Lowry of O’Fallon, IL; two sons: Thomas (Margaret) Duckworth of Collinsville, IL and Stephen (Kathy) Duckworth of O’Fallon, IL; three step-sons: Kevin (Janice) Wiggs of Belleville, IL, Kurt, (Sonie) Wiggs of Belleville, IL, and Kyle (Laura) Wiggs of Morganstown, WV; nine grandchildren: Jessica (Roger) Darden, Thomas (Colleen) Duckworth, Jr., Teresa (Eric) Bustamante, Jeremiah (Sarah Shelton) Duckworth, Mark Schmidt, Daniel (Krenda) Lowry, Kenan (Emily) Lowry, Chad (Mallory Maves) Duckworth, and Connor Duckworth; six step-grandchildren: Nicole (Graham) Alvey, Ryan (Hailey) Wiggs, Allen, Alex, Madeleine and Luke Wiggs; 11 great grandchildren: Grant, Morgan, Emmilee, Joseph, Joey, Wyatt, Giada, Kolton, Kyra, Avani, and Noah; five step-great grandchildren: Charlotte, Colin, Logan, Wyatt and Avery; a sister, Barbara (David) Daniel of Collinsville, IL; and a sister-in-law, Roseann Wood of Troy, IL.
Visitation will be 4pm to 8pm Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Barry Wilson Funeral Home, Maryville, IL.
Funeral mass will be at 10am on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 200 N. Lange, Maryville, IL with Father Joseph Havrilka celebrant. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Edwardsville, IL.
Memorials may be made to MPH or American Lung Association, and will be received at the funeral home.
