Conley E. Wilson Jr.
Conley Everrett Wilson, Jr., age 81 of Collinsville, IL born August 1, 1936 in East St. Louis, IL passed away on Wednesday, November 22, 2017.
Conley was a retired supply systems analyst after 30 years of service with ALMSA. He was a Marine Veteran. He was a former member of the AF&M Lodge 99 in Edwardsville, IL, Scottish Rite of Belleville, IL, Ainad Temple Shriner in East St. Louis, IL, and Royal Order of the Jesters, Court 86 of Southern, IL. He enjoyed hunting, golfing, camping, and playing bingo. Conley loved his family, especially his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Conley E. Sr. and Louise nee Allen Wilson; and a brother, Alan Paul Wilson.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, LaVerne Ann nee Finn Wilson, whom he married May 14, 1955; a daughter, Cynthia (Glynn) Norrenberns of Salem, OR; a son, Barry (Janice) Wilson of Maryville, IL; four granddaughters: Chelsea (Justin) Jackson and Abbey Wilson, both of Maryville, IL, Ashley (Anthony) Morse and Anna Norrenberns, both of Salem, OR; two great grandchildren: Tinsley Jackson and Luca Morse. Lovingly known by his siblings as “Tootsie”, he is survived by three brothers: James (Annalee) Wilson of Milstadt, IL, Roger Wilson of Belleville, IL and Kerry (Jackye) Wilson of Bethalto, IL; two sisters: Carol (David) Petry of O’Fallon, IL, and Joann (William) Fiedler of Milstadt, IL; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 2pm to 6pm on Sunday, November 26, 2017 at Barry Wilson Funeral Home, Maryville, IL.
Funeral service will be 11am on Monday, November 27, 2017 at the funeral home with Rev. Roger Wright officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Memorial Estates Cemetery, Glen Carbon, IL.
Memorials may be made to the Anderson Hospital Foundation or Shriners Children’s Hospital and will be received at the funeral home.
