Kenneth A. Brigman

Kenneth A. Brigman age 56 of Maryville formerly of Collinsville, IL, born October 23, 1955 in Alton, IL passed away Wednesday December 14, 2011 at his residence after a battle with melanoma.

He graduated in 1989 from the University of Kansas.  He was currently working as an architect for The Korte Company in Highland, IL.  He was a member of the American Institute of Architects.  He was very involved in the Bowman’s Company Revolutionary War Reenactment group, and the Milice de Ste. Famille in Cahokia, IL.  He was an Air Force veteran and a former Boy Scout leader for Troop #48 in Collinsville.

He was preceded in death by his father Finis Lee Brigman, his mother-in-law Grace Eileen Klunk, a brother-in-law Elwood Lange, and a sister-in-law Sherry Brigman.

Kenneth is survived by his wife Susan nee Klunk whom he married April 29, 1978, a son Jason Brigman of Fairview Heights, IL, his mother Bernice nee Wadeking Brigman of Belleville,IL,  a sister Sherry Lange of Gilbertsville, KY, 2 brothers Jim (Teri) Brigman of Hartford, IL and Mark (Karen) Brigman of Columbia, IL, father-in-law  Arthur Lee Paul Klunk of Collinsville, and 3 sister-in-laws Nancy (William) Chan of New Orleans LA, Gail (Ron) Deichmann of Cedar Hill, MO, and Marsha (Brian) Brueggemann of Collinsville, and many nieces & nephews.

Visitation will be Friday December 16, 2011 from 4pm to 8pm at Barry Wilson Funeral Home 2800 North Center Maryville, IL and also from 9am to 10am Saturday.

Celebration of Kenneth’s life will be Saturday December 17, 2011 10am at the funeral home, with military honors.

Burial will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery in Michael, IL with a gun salute by Milice de Ste. Famille.
