Lois Ann Reimler
Lois Ann Reimler of Collinsville, IL, celebrated her 75th birthday as she joined her heavenly father passing away on Monday morning, May 9, 2016 at Meridian Village Care Center in Glen Carbon, IL.
Lois was a 1959 Collinsville High School graduate. In November 2015 she celebrated 54 years of marriage to her high school sweetheart, Carl. For many years she could be found at Holy Cross Lutheran Church & School in Collinsville volunteering and serving on many Parent Teacher League (PTL) committees helping with the apple butter fund raiser, and the annual Wurstmart. She was also an active member of the LWML. She was an avid reader. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, and family gatherings. She enjoyed collecting various things and finding a good bargain. She planned many family vacations and loved to travel. For many years she sold and collected Avon.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Pauline nee Schikowski Parkinson; and a brother, Jim Parkinson.
She is survived by her husband, Carl L. Reimler, two daughters: Carla (Steve) Aufdemberge of Columbia, MO and Lori (Chuck) Kutey of Caseyville, IL; a son, Corey (Tina) Reimler of Collinsville, IL; six grandchildren: Hannah (Zeke) Rivera, Carah Aufdemberge, Chelsea Kutey, Courtney Kutey, Andrea (Tom) Moore and Jake Reimler; two great grandchildren: Guinevere Rivera and Nathan Moore; a sister, Sandy Kinnear of Collinsville, IL; a brother, Bill (Rosie) Parkinson of Maryville, IL; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 9am to 11am on Friday, May 13, 2016 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 304 South Street, Collinsville, IL.
Funeral service will be at 11am following the visitation with Rev. Kyle Wright and Rev. Brad Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Lutheran Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Next 100 Years or Alzheimer’s Research and will be accepted at the visitation.
