Marilyn Ann Crowder, age 70 of Collinsville, IL, born September 19, 1944 in St. Louis, MO, passed away at 8:45 pm on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at Relais Bonne Eau Hospice Home in Edwardsville, IL.
Marilyn retired after 15 years of service as an administrative assistant with the Collinsville Township. She was a member of the CMT YMCA Founding Board, Faith in Action, and St. John Home & Community Care Board. She was a member of Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Maryville, IL. Marilyn was active in St. John Neumann Catholic School. For over 40 years, she was a dedicated volunteer and leader at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church and School in Collinsville, IL. She enjoyed helping people and giving back to society.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore Fritschle and Sophie nee Messmer Fritschle.
She is survived by her husband, Clarence “Bud” Crowder, whom she married February 6, 1965; a son, John (Renee) Crowder of Maryville, IL; two daughters: Diane Wicker of Belleville, IL and Leigh (Eric) Miller of Edwardsville, IL; six grandsons: Zach, Zach, Joey, Jimmy, Jake and Gavin; one great grandson, Arlo; a brother, Kenneth (Pat) Fritschle of Arnold, MO; and a sister-in-law, Marilyn Ann Grace Crowder of Indian Rocks Beach, FL.
Visitation will be from 9am to 11am on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 200 N. Lange, Maryville, IL.
Funeral mass will be at 11am following the visitation with Father Joseph Havrilka celebrant. Burial will be held in SS Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery, Collinsville, IL.
Memorials may be made to Shriner’s Children's Hospital or Metroeast Humane Society and may be received at the visitation or mailed to the funeral home.
