Mabel Alice Klaus
Mabel Alice Klaus, age 84 of Collinsville, IL, born in Uniontown, MO on December 18, 1930, passed away at 5:45 pm on Friday, July 24, 2015 at her residence.
Mabel was retired form Helzberg Jeweler and had worked for many years for Simon Jewelers in Collinsville, IL. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Collinsville, IL and enjoyed gardening.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Ella nee Vogel Bingenheimer; her husband, H. Quentin Klaus; a son, Charles Klaus; and a sister Dorothy Mirly.
She is survived by a daughter, Beverly (Gary) LeMaster of Collinsville, IL; three grandchildren: Brein (Curt) Forcha of O’Fallon, IL, Cara (Jason) Trufant of Oakdale, NY, Derek (Erica Wells) LeMaster of Edwardsville, IL; three great grandchildren: Rian and Kellan Trufant, and Brodie Forcha; two sisters: Bernice Schnurbusch of Perryville, MO, and Lillian (Wayne Haberlach) Bjorseth of Lisle, IL; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 4pm to 7pm on Monday, July 27, 2015 at Barry Wilson Funeral Home, 2800 North Center Street, Maryville, IL.
Funeral service will be at 7pm Monday at the funeral home with Rev. Scott Adle officiating.
Graveside service will be at 11am on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Perryville, MO with Rev. Matthew Marks officiating.
Memorials may be made to the Lutheran Hour or St. John Home & Community Care and will be accepted at the funeral home.
