Larry Weldon Hall
Larry Weldon Hall, age 71 of Maryville, IL, born December 4, 1943 in East Alton, IL, passed away at 5pm on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at St. Anthony’s Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
Larry graduated from Wood River High School in 1962. He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Webster College. He served his country proudly in the US Army and Reserves and was a Vietnam Veteran. During his term in the Armed Forces he received the Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry with Silver Star, Combat Infantryman’s Badge, Purple Heart, Aircraft Crewman Badge, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Air Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Expert Badge and Sharpshooter Badge. Larry worked for the Naval Air Warfare Center, Training Systems Division in Orlando, FL as a logistics manager and retired in 2001 with 34 years of civil service. He enjoyed being a volunteer at Anderson Hospital, fishing, gardening, NASCAR races, and cars.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Vera M. nee Terry Hall; and his father-in-law, Louis P. Belobraydic.
He is survived by his wife, Addie K. nee Belobraydic Hall, whom he married on February 9, 1972; his father, Charles W. Hall of Montgomery, TX; his children: Kenneth M. (Jennifer) Hall of Clermont, FL, William W. Hall of Maryville, IL, Debra A. (Vince) Adamek of Tulsa, OK, Larry D. (Rachel) Hall of Wood River, IL, and David W. Hall of Roxana, IL; seven grandchildren: Morgan A. Hall and Mason A. Hall of Clermont, FL, Tyler (Hailey) Adamek of Owasso, OK, Devon Adamek of NC, Breanne Hall and Nick Hall of Wood River, IL and David Hall of Roxanna, IL; his sister, Laura Sue (Keith) King of Montgomery, TX; mother-in-law, Millie Belobraydic of Maryville, IL; sister-in-law, Sharon (John) Sullivan of St. Louis, MO; brothers-in-law: Louis P. (Sandy) Belobraydic, Jr. of Springfield, MO, William (Jacque) Belobraydic of Tucson, AZ; John (Johanna) Belobraydic of Tucson, AZ and Robert (Denise) Belobraydic of Collinsville, IL; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Memorial visitation will be from 4pm to 7pm on Friday, January 23, 2015, at Barry Wilson Funeral Home, 2800 North Center Street Maryville, IL.
Memorial service will be 10am on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at the funeral home with Father Joseph Havrilka celebrant. Burial will be in SS Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery, Collinsville, IL with full military honors.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Anderson Hospital Auxiliary or Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church and will be received at the funeral home.
