Kenneth Mauck

Kenneth Dale Mauck of Maryville, Illinois passed away at BJC Hospital in St. Louis, MO on May 2, 2011.  He was born on October 14, 1929 in Tilton (near Danville) Illinois to Jesse Brown Mauck and Walter L. Mauck.  He graduated from Catlin Illinois High School in 1947.

 He is survived by his wife, Linda Brunner Mauck, his former wife, Barbara Richter Mauck, a daughter Sandy Mauck Gabriel of Rochester, Illinois, a son Ronald Scott Mauck of Dawson, Illinois. Twin daughters’ Christine Mauck and Catherine Mauck, preceded him in death.  He is also survived by his sister, Mrs. Roy (Rita) Patton of Catlin, Illinois and his brother Ronald Mauck of Oakwood, Illinois, stepson Jerry L. Ellington Jr. of Edwardsville, IL his stepdaughter, Christine Lyn Yount of Granite City, IL and 7 grandchildren: Nicholas Yount, Benjamin Ellington, Andrew Ellington, Alexander Yount, Elise Ellington, McKenzie Chin and Madison Chin.

 

He was a Master Mason for 50 years and a lifetime member of the Masonic Grand Lodge of A.F. & A.M.  He was also a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association (NRA).

 

He was a Veteran and served in the United States Army at Fort Sill Oklahoma, repairing helicopters.  He was later employed by Illinois Bell as a Cable Splicer, Telephone Lineman, Marketing Representative and as a PBX Engineer.  When he left Illinois Bell, he was employed by the State of Illinois as a Telecommunications Engineer.  He retired from Household International as International Telecommunications Manager.

 

His passion was deer hunting and he also enjoyed fishing in Lake Carlyle for catfish.  He loved to read and as such, was a strong supporter of the Maryville Community Library District, Maryville, Illinois.

 

Visitation will be Saturday May 7, 2011 from 10AM to 2PM at the Barry Wilson Funeral Home with funeral services at 2PM.  The Rev. Tony Minear will be officiating.  Upon completion of the funeral services military honors will be presented.

 

Burial will be at Lovejoy Memorial Cemetery in the Brunner Family Plot.
